As of June 2026, we have released ForecastEdge North America, offering traders and analysts an unprecedented advantage by predicting today’s 12z ECMWF ENS forecast shift by 9am eastern. Powered by advanced statistical techniques and proven forecasting science, ForecastEdge transforms the challenge of anticipating weather model updates into actionable insight.
AG2 is looking to leverage the ForecastEdge technology to other models in 2026 (AIFS, GFS, etc.) and will also be looking to apply to it to other variables, such as wind and solar, and models that are relevant to Asian markets.

The current model is optimized for predicting temperature directional moves of the next day's 00z ECMWF ensemble run in Europe, and the 12Z ECMWF ensemble run in North America. But we understand the ask for adding other fields, and extending ForecastEdge features to other market-relevant parameters, such as wind and solar, is on our roadmap. We are presently working to include more weather variables within future iterations of ForecastEdge.

AIFS is becoming increasingly relevant in the energy trading space, as it is polarizing the attention due to some remarkable wins over legacy models lately. Adding a prediction of AIFS ensemble temperature moves is therefore something we commit ourselves to doing in the months ahead, as well as introducing predictions of other models such as GFS ensemble.
