AG2 prioritizes the weather models that are most relevant to energy market decision-making, including AIFS, GRAF, ECMWF, GFS, GEM, and other key model feeds. New models can be added, and we are always evaluating both legacy and emerging weather models for potential inclusion in the available data library.
AG2 Model Data Extraction was built for speed, scalability, and reliability. If all requested stations are already in our master database, files can typically be set up and flowing the same day. If new stations need to be added, setup usually takes 1–2 days before files begin delivering.
Yes. AG2 offers trials for up to 20 locations, giving you a chance to review the data structure, delivery, and usability before moving forward with a larger setup.
Yes. Sample data can be provided so your team can evaluate the format, parameters, structure, and delivery method before setting up a trial or production feed.
AG2 provides hourly-resolution data for the full global model run using proprietary interpolation techniques. This is the only AG2 offering that delivers hourly-resolution GFS and ECMWF model data. Hourly interpolation is available for a curated subset of parameters, focusing on those most critical to the energy trading industry.
Model data can be delivered in either CSV or Parquet format. Files may be hosted on an AG2 FTP server or delivered directly to your AWS S3 bucket. API-based data access will also be available in the near future.
Customers can choose between two delivery options:
- A single file containing the complete model run, delivered once processing is complete.
- Individual forecast-hour files delivered in near real time as raw model data is received and processed.
AG2 offers access to key global model datasets, including ECMWF Ensemble, ECMWF Operational, GFS Ensemble, GFS Operational, EC46, AIFS, GRAF, GEM, and more. Availability may vary by model, parameter, resolution, and requested configuration.
Model data can be extracted for any global location using latitude/longitude or Station ID. If a requested station is already in AG2’s master database, setup can be completed quickly; if not, new stations can typically be added within 1–2 days.
AG2 Model Data Extraction supports CSV and Parquet formats, making it easier for teams to integrate model data into existing workflows, analytics, dashboards, and automated systems.
